I want to think it's more like the system is making sure that MC works hard to retain relationships rather than farm them once and be done with it. Relationships need constant updates and this weekly reset balances out the thought of farming and focuses on long term relationship strategies. But that's just me justifying it to feel good.

Yeah. . . It's quite stupid given how much Edward helped Taylor before and the relationship they had. But yeah... The magic of bad traits has precedence here more than logic. At this point, I actually don't want him to get into anymore relations or be like pre- iron man Tony Stark and embrace the Playboy persona cause I can't handle any more relationship drama. I hope you liked what I've done with the chapter, especially that ending scene! It was inspired by another Fanfic author "Alittlepiggy33" for his AMAZING fanfic of Modern Family "Re:Life with Karmic Gacha". However, I feel like the author FUMBLED HARD with the romance, AND it felt like the author of the fanfic CHANGED from chapter 170 onwards. The writing style was different from that chapter onward. About the romance, no spoilers :D But it's a triangle? Square? Just know there's drama, and no one gets the happy ending. Well it was revealed the actual reason behind the messy romance is *redacted*. Anyway, it was revealed recently, and there are reasons to believe that the mess of a romance will be fixed soon. And it's still reasonably good to read.

Just go ahead with this. At least let me preserve my last two brain cells with this quality rework. Thank you for you effort and for these chapters
First of all, I would like to say that this entire chapter has been completely re-worked from the original MTL. The direction and story writing in the MTL was so plain, boring, and full of gaps. So much so that I decided to use the general template of the MTL chapter and write my own. And if you've read the entirety of the chapter, you will know that I decided to include a certain family in my chapter and the reason why is because I had wanted to flesh out the background story of Luke and give him additional character depth. I used the Parkers because I wanted to keep myself open to any future possibilities :D Besides, this whole thing is an AU isn't it fufu. But then again, I may end up not using the Parkers as much in this translation since I don't quite know how they would be written in future chapters by the original author. I'm just an editor trying to make this story a more enjoyable read. I also attempted to establish a connection with Wanda in a more realistic way. The original MTL was just "hehe this is my wife, I love my wife, she is my wife." And Wanda being like "Who is your wife?! Ba- Baka *blush blush*". Please let me know how I did with this chapter, especially those who have read the original MTL. Once Corviknight made its appearance I raised my hand and forfeited Abzu to no one's surprise. I then recalled Abzu after praising him for his victory. Considering how easy the previous two battles went, I decided to go with a slightly worse match-up. Was I making things unnecessarily hard on myself by sending out Shino/Yanmega against Corviknight?
- SaltedFishSku28dCommentedI had initially been planning to use Shino/Yanmega for the third round, but seeing Empoleon I changed my mind. I took out Hashirama/Venusaur's ball instead and released him onto the field. Hashirama only had to look out for any flying moves from Empoleon since they did some extra damage due to Hahsirama's minor weakness toward flying energy. On the other hand, Hashirama could do some extra damage using ground moves, so they were even on the matter. Not that I was planning to rely on Earthquake, or Earth Power to win the battle.
