If 'dark mana' influences the mind negatively then why the hell would he tell Kaecilius to use it? There is regular mana hanging out wondering why the MC's mind just cracked.

Maybe that's acceptable to some. "I can't have a serious relationship" is not the same as "I don't want a serious relationship". One implies something outside of his control is stopping him from committing to a relationship and the other lets her know he wants no serious attachments and prefers something like FWB's.

He goes to tell her that he doesn't want a relationship and only wants something casual. That does not happen. What ends up happening is that she assumes he's saying it won't work out because he's a hero and he goes along with it and uses it as the excuse for why he might just up and leave instead of doing the adult thing and telling her he only wants something casual. So now he's once again leading her along.

The worldbuilding is interesting but that doesn't make up for the thousands of filler chapters and garbage conversations between braindead characters. You can easily skim dozens of chapters at a time and miss nothing. I wait for at least 100 chapters to be released so that I can skim and find the 12 chapters worth reading.
