Through the scope Ethan located Harvey's body amid the wreckage of an overturned squad car. Harvey lay on the ground with shrapnel wounds across his chest that already looked bad. Ethan exhaled and squeezed the trigger once more, which sent a round into the detective's chest to confirm the kill before the body twitched and went still.

"It means child services gets called in automatically for cases like this with minors who lose guardians in violent crimes, they'll send a social worker tonight to pick him up from here and transport him to a temporary placement, probably one of the group homes on the west side or a foster setup until they sort the paperwork, you can use that window when he's in transit or at the home, set up an ambush on the route or hit the place after drop-off, less eyes and no cops to deal with."

Guns are everywhere in America. A knife, specifically a dagger that's also purposely balanced to be throwable? Now that is less common.

A lot of authors use AI for editing now. So even if it's not AI written we still get some of the slop from when it edits the story. Either way it always hurts to read it.
No sky. No floor. Just endless white stretching in every direction like someone forgot to load the textures for reality.

Her appearance was the very definition of enchanting. In her mind, a single look was all it took to turn all men, and most women, into a drooling mess. And that was without going all out. Her golden eyes, golden blonde hair, and perfect complexion with pearl pink lips acted as the ultimate frame for her goddess-like face and the pair of divine peaks on her chest. When she wore an outfit that revealed even the slightest fragment of the heavenly valley between her divine peaks, few looking at her would even notice the golden-furred fox ears atop her head or the nine hypnotically swaying fox tails behind her back.

I haven't watched much of Invincible but from the clips I've seen it seems like the Viltrumite's strength and durability are incredibly inconsistent.
"He goes unconscious," White Mask repeated. "The Guardians hit him hard enough that after they're all down, he goes with them. Temporarily, at least. He recovers after you find him still breathing, but…" He paused. "I'm telling you this because it matters. People think of Omni-Man and they think of something invincible. Truth is, he's far from it. The Guardians, fighting together with everything they have, pushed him harder than he probably expected."
