I'm really looking forward to the moment when MC clashes with Batman and MC beats him up.
I will love to see MC with Spider-Man full power in Gotham; he'd be the most powerful character there. After all, Gotham is a pretty low-level city with few truly super-powered beings, and no matter what people say about Batman, without preparation/script, he wouldn't win most of his fights outside his city, while Spider-Man chooses to go easy on most of his villains to avoid killing them.
Have you decided which additional power of Spinel you're going to give her?
No, I understand.
So this story will have two main protagonists? I thought his daughter would just be another secondary character.
Well, Spinel was originally conceived as a character reminiscent of old cartoons with cartoon logic. Giving her the most limited Toon Force I know works well and suits her. Of course, if her physical body suffers too much damage, she will still poof and become vulnerable, but considering she doesn't tire, she could maintain Luffy's awakening power forever. Hmm, now that I think about it, I think it would have been more interesting if she were the MC in this universe or something like that. It would be interesting to see a character with limited Toon Force in a serious universe where no one else has this kind of power and ability. The curious thing is that even with Luffy's limited Toon Force, a character who has this power but manages to use it seriously is quite frightening for most characters, since most normal attacks are ineffective, and she could do things that defy logic. Although, unlike normal Toon Force, she is not immortal and can appear anywhere, like in front of someone who is running away from her, or pass through a painting simply by wanting to.
Don't be sad, I'm sure it will be a great fanfiction, it's just not to my taste.
Give her a power that matches the original Spinel's; she's elastic and has many references to old cartoons where the characters are seemingly made of rubber. I think giving her Luffy's awakening power would be fitting, you know, a limited Toon Force.
The curse wasn't exactly that; it cursed him with immense fury and strengthened his body to match his rage. His choice to seek a glorious death instead of dying another way was his own. Furthermore, the curse doesn't end even after the death of its original host; it's a curse that affected the Battle Beast's lineage, so his daughter also inherited it. Although without the curse, he would probably remain at the normal power level of his race, which is strong by human standards but not by Viltrumite standards. In any case, it doesn't matter much to me; Battle Beast is simply too simple. He's physically strong, and that's basically it. He doesn't shoot energy beams, he's not super intelligent, he has not regeneration, and he doesn't even fly. I simply find him too simple to be an SI. How will he gain a power-up if he doesn't have any additional potential for growth? Although Invincible and DC are two universes I like, I think I'll stay out of this fanfiction. I hope it doesn't delay the updates of the other two I'm following.
I like to regularly check if any fanfiction with tags I like has been published, in this case DC. When I refreshed the page, this one appeared, which surprised me since you said you probably wouldn't write another fanfiction until you finished one of the other two. But I must say I'm not very interested in this one in particular. Battle Beast is a cool character, I just don't think he's interesting enough to be the body of SI. He's cursed to be in constant conflict and his powers are too basic for my taste. He has superhuman physique and that's it. I like MCs who aren't mentally influenced by their own abilities and have exotic powers, like the MCs in your other two fanfictions.
