wouldn't the dark cleanse spell he used in the beginning be perfect for this? or just have the liquid go in to his storage as he pretends to drink it? this isn't a difficult problem to solve.

If I used Dark Magic to try and destroy the poison it would injure me internally as well. it literally did though. the ki tried to attack his heart when he broke theough to the 1st stage, it shouldn't be a surprise that something like this could happen.
