as much as I like two chapters a day, I'd almost rather go back to 1 and have longer chapters. These chapters have so little happening that it feels 1 chapter was chopped into 5 parts. I'm still enjoying the story, but the piecemeal delivery makes it less enjoyable. I think these sections would be more enjoyable if I just waited a few weeks and read them all at once.
ah it's not Veronica and Ervas similarities I was complaining about it's similarities of Ervas and Vandalieu that feel less fulfilling to read. Most of the time it's not an issue, but the scene with his spirit floating above his body with many heads felt very similar to scenes from death mage.
I like Ervas, I just prefer him when he's using his own things (telekinesis, plants, and eldritch summons) The scenes where they try to copy abilities from that novel from earth give me a sense of dejavu that doesn't feel as nice.(I guess I just associate the out of body and many heads thing with another character too much) I really liked his fight with the giant goblin that comes later.
I kinda wish the story focused more on Veronica, idk the more Ervas gains Van like powers and acts like him the less I enjoy the story. I'd liked it better when Ervas was using his plant/summoning abilities and Veronica her armor/claw/slime abilities they just felt more fulfilling. :/
it doesn't make sense :( she's like 50s, they can't have children till 20, so in 30ish years she had 40(20% of tribe) children. Earlier though you said that they only half their ceremony to have children every 4-6 years. Also she's been trying to have another child with the dad :(
