Alright. I’ll explain better then. when goku became a super saiyan on namek he was so weak and tired he couldn’t even stand up. After he transformed into a super saiyan However he got most of his wounds healed ,and a lot of his energy restored. So in conclusion yes super saiyan can in fact heal you.

Gohan also had a rage boost on top of ssj2 so he wasn’t just having the normal ssj2 multiplier but 4x times that

I always took it that although gohan has more potential to get more powerful. Goku had far more talent in the skill area of martials arts. In that although gohan can become much stronger than him goku will always be way more skilled than he is
