Both Mila and Galan said they would only help if Robin gave them something. If you pay someone to help you, that's not friendship, that's buying a good or service through a business contact.

Exactly. He just had a long rant about how the rich and strong treat commoners as lesser beings and now he's here doing the same. I find it absolutely disgusting and it is one of the biggest things I hate about reading Chinese novels. Characters always preach about human decency to get their way and justify their revenge, but turn around and treat everyone like trash if they don't immediately act subservient or do what they want.

No one had even tried to capture an enemy instead of killing, for the battle was too dangerous to take any risks. The numbers dropped quickly and in just the first few minutes; it went from 101 pillagers to mid-60s while the participants actually dropped to the 40s! The pillagers fought for a living, while the participants were just the lucky ones who managed to enter the tournament first. It was fortunate that Qawain was able to save all of them with great skill, removing them without harming them or their enemies. - SSNB2379mthCommented
I'm going to keep reading because the world seems interesting, but honestly, Shiva/Rio's obsession with Ria is kinda disgusting to me. It borders on mental illness. If it is one then it's probably integral to the story and will stick around for a long time.
Ria for shiva was someone that always supported him. Someone who held him together, someone who kept her family together and that's why after she was gone, everything else was gone too. Her death started a chain of events that destroyed everything he had built. She was irreplaceable to him. - SSNB2379mthCommented
Maybe I don't understand the story well, but that's not even a question for me. Amelia is obviously herself in this life regardless of who she looks like and whether or not she might have Ria's memories.

A lot of people seemed confused by this when it was clearly stated earlier that the better trained an individual was the higher the chance of getting a high rank power.
More importantly, it demonstrated Ellis Intermediate School's teaching ability. As such, they should be able to obtain better-quality students during next year's enrollment. - SSNB2371yrPosted
*I've written this review after finishing chapter 216.* I really enjoy the world and the idea of the story, but the characters involved ruin it for me. The mc is always saying that he's the strongest and he only uses some percentage of his power and in the next fight, he whines about being powerless. When he was supposed to have shown crazy power in a fight he immediately says that other people are catching up to him. He is also a mixed bag of emotions. One second he says that he doesn't need anyone and he can take on the world by himself and he hates everybody. The next he cries to one of the many ladies that throw themselves at him that he needs love and trust. He literally treats everyone else in the novel like trash and then they all fall in love with him because he's strong even though he is a disgusting, abusive psychopath and they all admit it every so many chapters. Maybe I'm just worked up because chapter 216 brought this to a point for me, but either way, I can't keep reading.

Maybe I remember wrong, but I thought he was told that there are 2 types of flames. The crimson one he has being one that is solely for destruction. I thought the other type was implied to be for creation.

This is an old comment, but I thought I should reply in case anyone else gets confused. MMR and rank are 2 separate measurements. MMR says whether you play at your rank or higher based on how well you play. Rank goes up every time you win and down every time you lose. The first anti-cheat mechanic mentioned makes it so that those who lose a large number of ranks only play with others who have done the same. The anti-cheat mentioned here only says that having a low MMR doesn't allow someone to play with a lower rank.
The SGA wasn't stupid to let that happen, as they knew that most players would start losing intentionally to be put in lower brackets and have an easier time competing with newbies. This wasn't a video game, where one gets rewarded only virtual points after he wins. - SSNB2371yrCommented
I doubt that the author is aware, but that quote is really similar to one in the second Dune book, by Frank Herbert. I personally prefer this one though.

I thought that he said that he could send his shadow 5 km by the end of their journey from the Hollow Mountains back to the Dark City.
By now, he could control his shadows from as much as a couple of kilometers away.
