It's just a meh at this point. The story started great but got worse and worse. The story became all over the place and what stood out was that the MC is just a coward. I would have rated it higher if it was portrayed that the MC was shameless or a scum which would have perfectly matched the story but it did not. I've seen better scum ish mc comedy stories better than this hence my disappointment. Worst of all are all the plot holes. Author san, do you not write or take note of the details in your stories??
Author-san, If you want to learn more how to make stories like this with severely OP MC please use "Might as well be OP" as reference. You should see how big of a difference there is from this work of yours with that novel.
Story is a bit good but what ruined it for me is the constant shift of POV. The overuse of it ruins the feel experienced in the story. It would have been better if it was a 70 30 ratio where 70 percent focused on the story and a good transition to the other povs but in this case it did not do that. The POV kept changing without proper transition and proper timing.
The title completely misleads everyone. After reading the title you would expect that it was some sort of Sword God transmigrating into a magical world but no, it was a man trying to reach Sword God in a magical world. The title should have been 'To be a Sword God in a World of Magic'. Plot: Just a meh, nothing fancy, nothing exciting and full of 180 degree turns that makes the novel trashy as it is. Its basically just kill this kill that, me stronger here then I kill that etc etc. Characters: Barely has any personality, not much drama with each other, not much emotion from each other. Not so much with character building. World Building: Sucks AF. If could have helped if you gave a sort of visual description on how the world looks, how the outside world looks, how manors and kings and shit are relevant, how they go from point a to point b not just, Traveled here, traveled there, Kingdom here, kingdom there. For those looking into reading this thing, If you want a story to blow off some time with a 'meh' plot that will surely not get you hooked then have at it but I would summarize this novel in a few phrases. The novel basically is just a "I will become the strongest, I will kill anyone and everyone just to become the strongest. The magic concept means little to nothing"
Its honestly disappointing. The MC here is nothing but a weak ass shit who hides his powers. I mean, you could've solved your problem from the very start if you had shown them a glimps of your powers. This would've been a better story if that actually happened.
To be honest, I'm very disappointed with this. It started of great but then all hell break loose. The story had a lot of potential but man the author lacks so much imagination it sucks. Even the world building and the flashbacks, seems so confusing that its like tossing new information one after the other with no proper introduction of who it was or a depiction of that scene to imagine in a bit more clearly. And to the topic at hand of the lack of imagination, why have I said that? He had spell creation and created an item box skill and all that but he never thought of creating a disguise skill? Not to mention even the skill he has seems off to me, with that type of skill "skill creation" you can just create a skill that sucks in mana to from the surroundings constantly and have a spare back up to store it to have near unlimited mana in you. Even the plot itself sucks. The revenge thing works a bit even if was like a "meh" kind of thing but after that it was just collecting women. Its like collecting women like pokemon from then on.
As much as I would like to comment so many details for this novel let me just summarize it by telling that I have nothing good to say to this novel.
The premise of the story seems fine but the execution seems like ah "meh" type of story. I find it so wasteful to spend this type of system in that type of method. If you had the power to gain something every time you die why not just rush to a place like a "Forbidden Mountain" or something where mortality rate is so high that you die just by being there which every cultivation novel have in any Genre. You can just stay trapped there and die so many times that you become so OP and just stop dying when your strong enough to resist what is making people die there.
Story is great, character growth is great, world building is great, etc. I don't think its caught up with it here but with the actual current chapters, I do like to point out that its disappointing that he took so much chapters in the Dark World and Blood World. I cant speak for other readers but for me, the blood arc with the blood god clone seems too long. People came here for something that he may be able to use in public. Except for his recovery an some factors, most of his gains in the blood world with all those "blood" skills, moves, body constitution, etc. would be completely useless if he fights in public. In those chapters from 1700 - 2000 he could have transitioned quickly to a higher level but and went back quickly. I see no point of him staying too long in the blood world in the long run.
The story is great and all that along with the concept of it. The progress of the characters seems fine for me but the only that's a minus for me is that, I don't know it this is just me but I usually get confused on which world they are in. It would've been more helpful if you could stick to one world first before going to the next and not going back and forth. A not so much minus for me is the DXD section. I don't understand the point of adding that section since it doesn't that much excitement for me you know. It would've been more helpful if there we're parts where the OG characters in DXD like Rias, Issei, Vali, etc. could compare themselves to the MC or the FLs. Making him the successor of the Biblical God destroyed the DXD arc for me.
