The world is a bit discordant. The power of field mobs and dungeon mobs is wildly disproportionate, for instance, and the level scaling feels multiplicative even when it's supposedly additive. A level 2 boss destroying a stone environment, for instance, which is greater than a level 22 field mob who didn't cause much damage to trees. A level 5 boss being quite capable of beating said level 22 field mob. The cost/benefit of things is also strange, the cost of armor against the destructive potential of mobs would make tanks almost impossible, especially with how little vitality as a stat means in comparison to the rest, but many of the humans encountered are tanks. And armor is prevalent, which is good because it looks awesome, but not effective in any real way while being quite expensive despite that. I get that writing maintenance isn't sexy, but it feels like a waste to spend a chapter gushing on how awesome the armor is and then focus entirely on dodging because one hit will scrap it. Otherwise it's really good. The people feel real, the interactions between them are fun to read, and the story is solid. My only complaint is the world, really, otherwise it'd be awesome.
quality doesn't matter at all. they're drops.
what other option is there? you can't teleport until the milestone. so getting to the fourth floor would require beating 1-3 every time. every milestone would need you to be at 5 floors at once.
guess I was wrong, the armor was not under priced. it's polished slag. even level 2 slimes can destroy half a gold worth of armor if you try to be a tank. getting a tank past 5 bosses is only possible by getting carried.
if they don't give extra stats or skills beyond the primary one, all they do is cost skill points to spread his skills across more abilities. He'd be no better than any other non-specialized class holder. he's already struggling with a boss 1/5 his level because his stats are rounded.
I get that non-magical armor would be cheaper because magical armor exists, but really? Ornate but comparatively useless is still a luxury-type of value. That ornate set is less than 1 gold?
Even junk-level used swords are lighter than modern people expect. Wall hangers exist for people that never expect to use them, not for anyone who is buying a cheap sword for self-defense. Cheap in a world of users would mean bad quality steel, not more metal.
naw, he just developed psychokinesis. once he can punch time, let's talk.
as the protagonist, not the brother of a target.
guess "a matter of days" meant at least 30.
