what do you thing the nobles will do after getting robbed ? raise taxes for small falk, take the women, cause most of their women are probably killed by pirates, take the boys for new guards. and if the pirated killed the nobles, someone else will take their place. and do the same.

what do you mean you are not sure ? the night king was killed in one hit by a little girl that trained for 2 years in stabbing and stealing.

Making the mc attached emotionally to this degree, to an original character, is really a let down. the story started as lone wolf with nothing to lose, now turning into a family man(boy) out of nowhere, the time skip doesn't count cause what matter for a story, is what a reader actually reads or experiences, not "he lived with X for 5 years, now they are family".

29 y/o + living for more than 6 years in Planetos, and he's calling a woman less than 30 y/o, mother ? all that just to make it clear that the mc has no romantic feelings for her ?
