Recostado sobre una colina que dominaba el paisaje del Feudo, contemplaba el cielo con una paz que no había sentido en bastante tiempo. A un costado, la silueta del castillo en construcción. La partición de mi poder había sido un éxito; y aunque me sentía físicamente más vulnerable, experimentaba una libertad embriagadora. Al no tener energía para abarcarlo todo, simplemente había dejado de intentarlo. Incluso el número de clones que podía mantener era ahora limitado, lo cual suponía un alivio mental inconmensurable. Sabía que había sido la decisión correcta: este retorno a la "debilidad" me obligaba a recuperar los viejos hábitos de estratega, a pensar antes de actuar y a exprimir cada recurso disponible para asegurar la victoria.

Se detuvo en seco, como si una idea repentina la hubiera asaltado. Corrió a la cocina y regresó de inmediato con un trozo de pan. Sin la menor pizca de duda, pasó el pan por el coño rebosante de semen de una de las brujas inconscientes, empapándolo con esa leche especial que todavía se filtraba de ella, y se lo llevó a la boca.
