Thats true, but an opponent of that caliber (strong enough that the technique is needed) has nearly unlimited ways to get rid of something as fragile as a shadow clone even while fighting someone else in close combat. It may work once or twice as a surprise, but as soon as that jutsu is known everybody will lookout for that and it is very easy to counter once you know about it. Just use Rasengan. No risk, faster and he can use it himself. There are not many people who can tank a hit, and those few would not get hit by a melee Rasenshuriken from a clone

If you need that jutsu the enemy is strong enough to destroy every clone before it has even the idea to become dangerous. Against enemies the clone could get close to, with a big ass jutsu, it isnt needed to win

But he doesnt know its Superman. Could be something else. I think its a little naive to think you have Supermans powers just because you get stronger under the sun
