I don’t think it was due to the weird alter- ego authors that made these last couple chapters bad for me. It was that it was super confusing on what was happening I couldn’t follow along with what happened even when I reread it. How can I hated what happened when I don’t even understand what happened?
Honestly this arc so far has been pretty disappointing. It’s basically what canon is but just added two OCs that talk and have s*x with the main cast. Especially in this most recent arc all the major events in the original still happened with minor differences. Overall pretty disappointing.
DxD is memorable for a lot of things the ecchi, hot girls, the setting, and the dumb af protagonist. Love him or hate him Issei is a core part of what makes DxD tick. Imagine a DxD with a generic isekai protagonist would be way more boring cause then it become predictable, or a protagonist like say Ichigo or Natsu then we get typical shonen tropes. Its an ecchi anime so a perv*t as a protagonist is kinda expected. I’m not blasting you for hating Issei but he kinda helps drive the series. I dunno just my two cents.
