Well, you can braid long grasses (of a particular structure) togeather to make a weak bowstring... I wouldn't recommend it though.

That was when I started, now though, you ask? It only takes me a bit to write a chapter, but with MRS Vol. 1 I am just winging it. Writing it and seeing where it takes me. More often than not I start writing and see that such a path has no potential to continue. Yes, a plot twist and start over in a new volume would work but who wants that? I was and am also working on plots for potential future volumes and considering on making side stories to some volumes so I have some plots also layed out for that. (U*4 could be made into one such side story for Vol. 2)

Answer 1: It's to skip the miscellaneous info, i.e. the continents war prep and mass panic ect. ect. Basically, it has nothing to do with the MC. If I really wanted to I could still push back the ending volume and have that as the third volume though the fourth would need some changes. Answer 2: I really could not write a whole bunch of chapters covering the time span of 20 years with less than a 3 months worth of fighting over all, some crazy dude concocting various explosives, and the ever tedious, sitting around and cultivating. Answer 3: I did not have any arc planned entailing the demon's preparation for their attack as I started this for a challenge and was not completely done but had a slightly more than basic outline done fore various parts (still disconnected). If I really wanted to, I could make it work in some way but that could be a terrible idea leaving me stuck somewhere in the the middle of nowhere with a half finished and released arc with no path ahead and no way to either end it or switch POVs. Answer 4: Doing an arc with all of the above three answers would be too messy and all over the place. It would be even more poorly written than this already is.

The next chapter will clarify a few of the changes, and some of the terms used such as networking pylons, the explosives, demon kings, and such. I decided to just have a somewhat new(ish) start for the first chapter of the second volume and clarify after rather than combining the two.
