"Power fantasy" type stories are basically almost always gonna be pure wishfufillment the point of writing something like that is to enjoy things you normally wouldn't enjoy irl ngl I also agree that Webnovel authors are bad at romance most of the time but its not that hard to skip the romance parts anyway my original point was you are reading what is essentially a superficial story(No hate author) about a humans journey to godhood and you dont expect the romance to be superficial? just turn your brain off for a minute or ignore it
