Jericho actually has a hidden agenda on why he was so eager to hear out Kendrick and the others after seeing that the nuns weren't seriously injured. (Note: it is an extremally childish reason and the current Jericho isn't even conscious of it) As for his relationship with Darius, there are 3 main reasons. 1. Darius is the son of one of the most powerful men in the world. For a cool-headed 5-year-old orphan with no background (Except the monster of a head nun), he knows that continuously antagonizing Darius would just be stupid at this point. 2. He felt SLIGHTLY guilty about bashing Darius' face in even though the fight was over. (He tries sugarcoating it by saying that it was for Fred, even though we all know that it was just because he couldn't control himself in time) 3. After their talk at the hospital, he found out that Darius wasn't TRULY bad, just a bit broken. This is why he calmed down. (If the fight happened when they were adults though, I don't think Darius would be able to walk again)

If your wondering how they managed to grow fully adult trees in a few months... remember the nun from the orphanage who can accelerate plant growth? I never stated that a gift is unique to a person. Heck most adults have Physical Enhancement.

Gifts like fireball where you need to activate them to use. Physical Enhancement is a passive type since it is always on

Ye i noticed it too. this is my first novel so I don't know how to adjust their tones just yet (I think it got better in the further chaps) However, most of the kids here are much more mature for their age because of their past. (mentioned in future chapters)
