This guy despite putting points on his intelligence he haven't thought of experimenting with his legion for different combination of evolution or eating this combination since it has evolved means it has became a different species and he would be gaining new material.

If you put species into categories being the lower rank and the higher rank the MC's species evolving to a [Zombie Lord] means he has become a higher life form or entity from a Zombie(Lowest-rank) -> Zombie Lord(Higher-rank). So to put a dragon is also on the Higher rank of the species, a dragon can topple down a country to most fantasy stories a zombie lord a higher life form is comparable to a dragon.

It's good I've seen many evolution piece of writings where the MC could evolve, like for example Re:Monster the MC have a psychic ability of ingesting the ability of what he eat and he was reborn in a world where Gods and Evolution is possible so. The higher the rank his species get the harder for him to acquire abilities since he has become a Higher life form or entity.
Then again, this is my first book that has an evolution feature, so the whole evolution thing might be completely different from what you guys are familiar with, so just treat it as my own style of depicting evolution.
