I don't get why authors like a comment pointing out a mistake, but don't fix the mistake. it's just weird.

I'm confused how you got 165.34 tons. One metric ton is 1,000 kilograms, so he should have gained 150 tons from 150,000 kilograms. I assume the "15" was a typo where a zero was missed and should have been "150" instead. The math then adds up fine.
