In the first arc she noticed sunless doesn’t need to do that and said she’s seen similar awakened but they usually degrade the quality of the fragments because it draws from the kill but sunless doesn’t. She said even her own kinda skims off the top so she gets a little bit from killing but nowhere near as much from killing as sunless does. And while she does get it for human kills, it established a lot of the twilight humans are mundane and not awakened, and mordret said the ones taken by soul stealer didn’t award anything since they no longer have souls.

How would she have had enough to make a whole 6th then 7th core? Especially when she doesn’t get as many fragments from killing things as sunless does. I went to the hospital Monday and came back Thursday and was really excited to read this book but I’m glad the most consistent thing about this book is the inconsistent releases. We’ve had one chapter since Sunday

Especially since our Mc always seems to have higher authority in the system than he should, and chaos has always been his kind of hallmark. Victor is the embodiment of murphys law but he rises above it every time like chaos dorang phase him.

Might be kinda like the island in an ocean type of thing. Like this galaxy or universe (the. Whole thing includes all the sectors and universal tree and all the primordials) is an island or pocket in the ocean of kind of nothingness. I could imagine other universes or realities with other primordials and other rules, like maybe their systems evolved in different ways to fulfill or achieve the balance that grandpapa chaos kinda handed down to the whole of creation to achieve and maintain. Maybe there’s something out there that feeds on a lack of balance and feeds on universes or realities where the system and primordials fail to maintain balance and victor is our primordial chaos returned or kind of inheritor. We know the system works in mysterious ways and maybe it realizes chaos needs to come back because the greater system isn’t maintaining balance and someone needs to replace chaos as the ultimate ruler above the primordials. If you’ve never played horizon zero dawn, the mc is a clone of the main scientist that made the zero dawn project which was how humanity would survive by this AI named Gaia would reform and remake the world but it got bugged so Gaia the AI created the MC as a clone of her so she could be smart enough and have access to everything she needed to as a kind of Hail Mary and last ditch effort to save the world or Gaia. I can imagine the system kind of creating the conditions for victor to succeed in the supernatural world by giving him RH null blood and allowing a second vampire progenitor so that he can rise and become that vacant chaos

Lower the privilege cost if we’re not going to get regular updates. I love this novel so much but I can’t pay fifty dollars at the start of every month when some chapters are half the length of regular but same price and we can wait 2-3 days for a chapter when it says daily

I dont know if I like these short chapters. When you get 6-7 pages and 1 whole page is taken up by the title and comment section it just feels like I’m waiting for what ends up being a five second snapshot. I don’t even have time to get into the book or characters before it’s over. I guess I’m spoiled by my three vampire wives since it’s usually 15ish pages or more (sometimes less but he always pays us back with more chapters or it’s because life happened.) I just hate spending money on books and have dropped so many like ocean lord and heavenly necromancer because the chapters didn’t feel rewarding at all to read.
