Hmm, I can only assume that she is smelling him because he has a unique odor, due him being a Timelord or something, or possible she can gain insight from smelling, which could explain how she knew he was awake even though he, seemingly, didn't react in anyway. So many interesting things happening in a short span of time, it makes me wonder what his desire truly is and what it can do. Question though, are you going to like slice of life kinda things or timeskips? cause time has moved really slowly so far but I get that's important to set up like the world and character.

it's kinda weird that he ran into another armadillo, but it kinda seems like the previous one was maybe just a child and now he's dealing with the angry parent. Also I get that armor is the best for this occasion but I am also really interested as to what the desire mutation would be. Also keep up the writing cause this story is different from some others I've read and I'm really loving it
