That was actually an internal monologue, so while we already knew, Han Xiao didn’t. He only knew from the mission description that keeping her for more than six days would be a challenge.
Earlier in the chapter he mentions having learned a trick from Iroh, which is likely a typo that should be Iron. This is just explaining who that is.
While that’s semantically true, it’s good to clear things up with those he is willing to trust with the truth, especially due to the implications with the title. As seen with Haru, being an earthbender at all is a crime to the fire nation, and while I don’t recall it being specifically shown, the same is likely true of being a water or airbender. Similarly, just about anyone not from the fire nation will assume you’re a heartless monster if you claim to be a firebender.
This is correct. Nothing she said implies she knows who he is as all contact even before UA was done as Horizon.
Interesting parallel that this is effectively the same attack we saw Star and Stripe use earlier when she condensed a nuke into a spear. Of course , Horizon doesn’t need an existing nuke nearby to use it.
This seems mistranslated, and should likely be “Former. Governers. Where?” instead. Based on the next line and the response, he’s asking about the former governors who all disappeared, which seems reasonable to ask.
He could probably make a decree to this effect for those with sentience. Anything that’s more mindless would follow him out of instinctive respect or fear but would likely be unable to follow a precice command like that on their own. Honestly though when Klein wakes up at full power Inevitability himself will likely be too scared to let any contractees appear on Earth in the first place.
I feel I should mention in case you forgot that dream butterfly immortal gu does exist in the original story. It’s fine if this is intentional AU, and the original dream butterfly is pretty similar to this, but I’ll explain it here anyways for anyone who wants it. (Obviously some spoilers for anyone who hasn’t read the original story) Dream butterfly immortal gu is Meng Qiu Zhen’s vital gu, allowing the user to see what the results of their choices will be in dream realms before they make them. It basically does what is seen here if Chi Yan is actually in a dream realm, but nothing was ever mentioned about aptitude being affected, and it didn’t cause unknown changes like this to subsequent dream loops. We only see Meng Qiu Zhen use it as an immortal though, so perhaps it could affect mortals this way.
Interesting to see that there are such simple parts of luck that Fang Yuan still hasn’t grasped. He’s avoided directly interfering in situations like this multiple times to avoid consuming his luck, but was unable to tell that it was being consumed anyway as it got spread out.
This is the kind of spoiler title that I can appreciate. We all knew it was coming, and it’s a beautifully hilarious follow up to the end of last chapter.
No, Wu Shuai’s dream realm gave him quasi-supreme enslavement attainment, he only got to great grandmaster in theft path from Thieving Heaven’s dream realm.
Wasn’t it established that Duke Long only had 300 000 dao marks, just that he was greatly boosted by heavenly dragon’s last stand and an incredible combat system? Or did heavenly dragon’s last stand gradually add more dao marks and that’s what is being referred to here?
Scale is insane in this world. This ‘cave’ is likely many kilometres wide.
To those people wondering why Fang Yuan went after Thousand Transformations for seemingly so little gain, here’s why!
Wasn’t the sovereign body made to perfectly match his soul? It seemed to at least be implying that when he said it was ‘incomparably suited for his soul’ but maybe it got even better with time somehow?
They’ve actually never actually seen Fang Yuan use great theif ghost hand in this life. He disguised the theft on Feng Jiu Ge as a formation effect that didn’t seem to even be visible based on his reactions, and he didn’t use theft path methods at all in the southern border ambush this time.
That was actually Sheng clan instead of Zhao, but with how many women he had it’s easy to get them confused.
Minor spoilers about this investigation: I feel like this question should be a mistake or trap, because yes, he absolutely said something dishonest before the liquor worm was revealed. I feel like this should be Jia Fu’s trap to make him accidentally lie, then use the bamboo gentleman’s colour change as proof he lied, and claim it was because of a different question to declare him the true culprit. This gu probably works off of what you believe to be true, so someone genuinely not noticing this would likely not set it off, but it always struck me as strange that out of all of the mind games at play here, this simple loophole in his question goes completely unnoticed. Even Fang Yuan casually answering yes is dangerous because it could reveal something is wrong with the lie detection if anyone notices this after it’s revealed he only spoke the truth. This could easily just be a translator or author error, but it bothers me a little every time I read this.
Two paragraphs ago he said he tried, even doubling Saitama’s workout, but it didn’t do anything special.
The wording is a bit inconsistent, but I don’t think the mudcrab actually had the gruel mud gu during the calamity. From what we’ve seen regarding immortal gu’s aura and Fang Yuan’s thoughts during the calamity, either he or the land spirit likely would have noticed it activating. Additionally, he describes the crab as having ‘brought the power of the immortal gu’ through the mud, as the mud it lived in was made from it, not necessarily a fresh activation of the immortal gu. The mud seems to be infectious, so it likely just had some mud that was infected long ago and just used it to attack and infect Dang Hun Mountain.
