Not often that I like these types of MC's but this novel had me hooked from the start. I enjoyed the world building, I enjoyed the characters and I enjoyed the magic system. Unfortunately, once we get past book one the pacing of the novel drastically shows down. To give you an idea of it, we literally sit around for about 16 chapters and the majority of it spent pondering over a topic, I was literally ready to drop this. I'm at chapter 218 and I'm only sticking around for a few more chapters to hopefully see abit of the spark that made book one so good.

I'm only up to chapter 1 and rarely write reviews but in terms of quality of writing alone this novel is definitely a cut above the rest. This novel already had a great start with not having a loli & harem obsessed MC. Throw in a well written MC, great side characters, a snarky sense of humour which I LOVED and not forgetting the especially incredible world building, this author definitely won themselves a new fan.

With the delicate girl walking behind him, he couldn't help but think of his little sister. As a toddler, she used to follow him around too, as though they were glued together.

Time to look up some Aes Sedai witches🤣 Bound by magical oaths to never lie but are the biggest liars around. Always manipulating the truth but technically have never told a lie😆

Indeed, air like that was hard to come by in the real world: micro dust and other pollutants made it rough and unpleasant, not to mention the general stench of the outskirts. In the better parts of the city, sophisticated filtration systems worked diligently — however, filtrated air tasted sterile and stagnant. Only the very rich had access to truly pleasant breathing.

This would be hilarious if it was true. All these mostly grown men trying to beat the game but some random loli pops up out of nowhere to take the Number One Rank
