Man what a journey 6 years huh many things changed in our lives throughout them yet this novel was one of the few constants yet here it is over already but that's why we are here right we are here so that i can recommend you this novel the mc is ever-changing and ever evolving you will find some of her actions odd and maybe questionable but overall her growth as a character is great to see the overall story is great though some parts are somewhat rough if you get through those parts you will find more of the good stuff especially the many twists it has sometimes they feel like they came out of nowhere but they are still exciting to experience overall it's a satisfying story it's not perfect and can be improved drastically if it was remade but it's still a great journey that you will probably enjoy going through reading other novels that are linked to it is not mandatory but it will improve the experience

each time we see a crazy title i find myself looking forward to Alice's ascension because for sure ahe will have the craziest title

it truly holds the story back a bit but i think you could spin it as rob being drunk with his power recklessly seduced many women around him but regrets it as he got older and wiser and with no intention of repeating his (not mistakes that would very disrespectful to his wives)reckless actions

while the novels are connected you don't need to read other novels for it to make sense this applies to all the novels its just more of a plus it can help you understand more lore and know how those characters came to be for example in this novel you can understand the mc origin better if you read epic of caterpillar but even sill the novel itself explains that well enough as well honestly if you plan on reading them all i suggest you leave EOC for last since its the one they all connect to in the end though something to note is the later novels are not connected only the finished ones and eoc and epic of ice dragon

no body ever said he was an antihero he is quite righteous and he shouldn't hide his powers from his close ones if he has no reason to only an edgy teen would do that and you kind of sound like one

the regrets start to appear later when he realizes he has mutual romantic feelings for one of his companions that he never acted on and when he starts to feel guilty for dragging all his subordinates to death with him especially since he realizes he saw as friends not just servants
