So, a 50% income tax, while the only income dragons make is by breathing, a 0% wealth tax on their massive hoards, and a 0% capital gains tax on the stuff the get for ransoming princesses?
"The USD may only be backed with words, but those words are backed with nuclear weapons." -Gandhi
Fall on his own sword because he dishonored his ancestors. That's what an East Asian peasant does. A TRUE knight goes out in one last glorious cavalry charge For The Lord.
Aztec xianxia, where you grow stronger by devouring the corpses of your defeated enemies, is the only TRUE dog eat dog world.
They are roughly as difficult to get as 3$. Your average noob could likely get a bronze coin every 20 or so minutes, an elite player a silver every 2 hours, and the 1% of the 1% could get maybe a gold coin an hour.
1 bronze is 3$ meaning 2000 platinum is 6 billion$. This is a free floating currency exchange meaning that the price is whatever price has equal numbers of people wanting to trade both ways. If 1 bronze was 2$ more people would want to buy than sell, pushing prices up. If 1 bronze was 4$ more people would want to sell than buy, pushing prices down.
I honestly hate this list of powerful families, but there are just enough extenuating circumstances that I can't actually argue.
X-Men: Apocalypse final battle. Morgan: "En Sabah Nur, you survived." Apocalypse: "Suprised?" Morgan: "Your arrogance blinds you Pharaoh, now you will experience the full power of a shadow mage." *BZZT* *laughs* "At last your empire is no more." Apocalypse: "Not if I have anything to say about that." *BZZT* "Your rule is at an end, and it was not short enough." *sfx* "If you are so powerful, why leave the fighting to these kids?" Morgan: "You will not stop me, Jean Grey will become more powerful than either of us." Apocalypse: "Your faith in your apprentice is misplaced, as is your faith in your own invincibility." *sfx*
Now, I'm not going to go too deep in to this conspiracy theory, BUT... So Eva's part of the Japanese Imperial Family, and the Emperor Emeritus of Japan is named Akihito. Not quite the same as Akihiko, but fairly close, and about 900 years ago there was another Emperor named Akihito, who was married to a woman named Kiyoko, and I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a coincidence or not.
So, if Prince William is King, why were people singing God Save the Queen? Did Queen Elizabeth abdicate, but reveal herself as an immortal deity, and so people still worship her more than the actual Monarch?
So, I was thinking, enough cultures have a flood myth that there's a decent chance there was one big flood instead of a bunch of little local floods, and in this fic, this is probably that flood. The 2 most common translations of the bible put the flood at either 2400 BC or 3300 BC, with the 3300 BC version being ancient greek, and therefor probably created by wizards and the 2400 BC version created in the early middle ages, and therefor probably created by muggles. So something something if you worship the person who sent the flood, you worship death.
The problem with writing a good detective story is that the author either needs to be as smart as the detective to know what the detective can or can not deduce with the information available, or they need to make shit up. I really hope this is the latter and not the former.
