I hate mana costs. I love Vancian style magic. make tier Zero the same as cantrips. weak but versatile and you can use them all day. level one spells are slightly better but limited in that it's only available a few times a day. the higher level the less times you can use
After purchasing the four spells, Link spent another two 2 Omni Points on Maximum Mana Points in order to be able to use his Mana. His Maximum Mana became 21 points, enough to use a Level-0 Spell ten times. - Zentegi2yrCommented

All self taught or improperly taught skills can leave one handicapped as most people have to unlearn bad habits before learning to do them properly. I saw this in basic training when it came to shooting a rifle. I had no prior experience (besides just random shooting in the desert) and was therefore therefore blank slate and picked up the basics pretty fast. Some "good ol' boys" that had a lot of experience had been pretty good at first but the bad habits they picked up from their experiences held them back while people like me started bad but grew faster and ended up a better shot.
