It was a strange trait he developed during his programming days. Sometimes, certain pieces of code would function, but would have theoretical limits or flaws. Any programmer worth his salt would just make a comment and just move on. Not Lex, though. It was surprising that he missed it in the first place, considering how overwhelmingly it was reacting to the Midnight realm. He could… could feel… it was strange to describe. It was as if he was spying on the rules of the universe, and could feel the love the universe had towards certain things. It is crazy how one time I was walking in the woods with friends and I heard a tiny, maybe 8 inches, snake, while we were talking, from about 30 ft away and spotted it. It's itty bitty head was poking out of some leaves.
It seems to hold true to real life. We don't really look down either but the ground tends to be in our line of sight and we're pretty sensitive to movement. And snakes. I feel like I remember a documentary talking about how we evolved specifically to spot snakes moving because those little shits have been hounding us since we were still monkeys.
