It gives me same feeling. On one hand, the whole world setting feels like another weaboo wet dream, on another it gives me a feeling of some sarcastic allegory, written by a dude who feels that current state of affairs isn’t as good as it is portrayed

It isn’t so much racist(like in some novels blacks are called slurs, etc.), but Federal Empire and Chinese are the masterrace of the Earth. Imagine Aryan race existing but it’s Chinese. And it exists. If you skip chapters talking about the glory of the Federal Empire, the fantasy elements are great and entertaining

Chinese wet dreams of superiority brought into reality is the least of concerns. Frankly, it’s fine. Most of us would want our country to be a strong superpower. The thing is, it is portrayed that every country except Federal Empire are third/second world countries. Why, Chinese bought Newton for his weight in gold in this novel, for wxample. Also, China is the only country which controls supernatural, all other countries go on the coexistance route, though they do fail miserably. Long story short - China is stronk and fair, rest of the world is a chaotic mess
