I don't think you understand origins and elements aren't things that come from Gaia or alaya they come from the root and those who are awakened to their origin can perform mage craft related to it on a level beyond what would normally be possible and those who have the same origin and element can perform mage craft related to it on and even higher level its why shiro projection let's him recreate noble phantasm related to the concept of the sword but it be impossible to try and recreate noble phantasm that aren't related to the concept of the sword like say Leonardo Da Vinci gauntlet that acts as part of her noble phantasm

from what I can see one side of the Gate of Truth has the sephiroth on it while the other has the qlipoth. with the sephiroth containing knowledge of the physical and natural world (alchemy/science) the qlipoth contains knowledge of the supernatural (magic). or am i getting it wrong author

That's quite the limitation already knocking out some of the technologies I was thinking of like Kryptonian, Yautja, and Forerunner. Other than that I'm not too worried about that last restriction. start with basics like archive magic and re-equip . then you could learn spells like elemental magic or enhancement for boost to physical strength maybe even script magic like the one used by that green haired guy in laxus group . I doubt you'd be able to find lost or incredible powerful magic in the library since it's public I stuff like that would definitely be kept under raps

They had to find someone who could compete with Doom and who was better at it than Reed Richards who had been rivals with Doom since their college days. It was also internationally known that Reed and his team had thwarted many of Doom's plans in the past. people seem to forget that shinigami at their full power I'm bankai are 10 to 20 times stronger than their base form with shikai being twice as strong and bankai being 5 to 10 stronger than shikai
