Sunny is a connoisseur of monster delicacy.
You don't need to be strong to survive, you have to survive to become strong.
The cohort makes a plan. The Sybil sees the future - plans around their plan. Cassie sees the future - plans around the Sybil's plan to plan around their plan. The Sybil sees the future, Cassie sees the future and so on until the Sybil knows she's going to get it, but has no choice but to bend over.
If they used some big brain strategy to defeat the enemy that would be fine. If they ambushed and crippled the enemy first, and then finished them off that would be fine. If they did literally anything else other than charge straight into the midst of an entire army, which is one major realm stronger it would be fine. It's like a featherweight winning against ten heavyweight champions in a fair and square no holds barred fight, the only explanation is paid actors or a metric ton of plot armor.
This is why I hate novels with power levels. Even one of these guys should require a Herculean effort to defeat for such a small and underleveled party, but because of plot armor they are going to win effortlessly. The author trying to convince me that this is a dangerous situation and mc could actually lose (for the 1,000,000 time) is just a laughable.
Nice setup.
It makes no difference, you die anyway.
How is Saint getting beaten up when she is both stronger and more skilled than Sunny?
He's already got one of those.
I love how he assumes the world revolves around him.
That's so cute.
I bet the big man is going to show them the ropes.
For some reason this made me crack up.
I understood that reference.
Like clockwork.
When I run away it's tactics, when you run away you're a coward.
Who could refuse a bargain like that?
I am happily surprised to find an author who knows that shields are weapons of war.
