lmao did not expect a joker reference here.
I would prefer if you actually mentioned more about the magic system and like actually mention how it was encrypted and how reading that Marcellus guy's notes actually helped him decipher, that would add a lot of depth to the story and flesh out the power system. Right now its just like more tell and less show, its less of a cool application of magic and more of a shallow show off face slapping trope.
I think it might be literal, that the eternal pursuit of humanity (in that world) is to kill gods... and being associated with gods is like painting a target on your back.
it's there, webnovel sometimes shadowbans/ censors reviews so maybe that's why you can't see it. Anyways it's a long rant about how the novel started our good but devolves into some really messed up stuff. The author might sugarcoat it saying that the actions of character make sense based on the situation and magic nonsense but as thr author is the one who created the situation and added those plot points, it's still his responsibility I guess. It's kind of a repeating pattern at this point as most novels start out decent when the Mc is humble and underdog, but once they get powerful the story loses all Intrigue, the mc's personality does a 180 and power gets to their head.
I know bro, like whenever there is this trope of my childhood friend / girlfriend rejects me in the future but right now I am back to the past there is just so much unnecessary angst and drama. Like she hasn't really done anything bad yet but the MC acts all cold and dastardly towards her because he knows she will eventually change her mind or something... but what happens is that the girl keeps on pining for him and wondering why she is being treated like this and suddenly ignored and what all. I am not saying that the girl is in the right but I just feel that in such scenarios the authors focus too much on how much the girl feels hurt and wants to get back with the Mc. like there is definitely personal feelings involved here with the author venting and projecting.
I was going for a more biblical reference when I said that
Decent start, gets racist, you can basically feel how the author thinks that all other countries are stupid, arrogant , weak etc... compared to China . It was ignorable for a while i have read through stories where the enemies are other countries... but the feeling of condescending really pisses me off especially when it goes after the country I am from. So yeah... make of it what you will. The story is still entertaining I guess... but the later area aren't as good as the first one especially when the author takes you too the *mild spoiler* Marvel world for the 4th world. I wasn't really in the mood for fanfictioj so yeah... also the MC gets too OP in the later worlds so there isn't much of a grind or struggle or stakes so yeah.... I dropped it.
Nike swoosh....i can't 🤣 the image is stuck in my head now lmao.
Completed at 364 chapters, read the raws. It's worth a read, however ending is rushed. The climax still hits hard though, the plot twists and they way the author brings together all the major items and characters and plot points was pretty mind blowing. I liked it however if you are new to webnovel you might feel frustrated that the novel didnt live up to it's full potential. Like if the plot was rearranged and slowed down a bit, the author could have written 200-300 more chapters easily. I am kinda used to it at this point, still it was a fun and intriguing story. Of course having a story that does end is also so rare these days so I guess that's also a plus.
It's completed at 364 chapters, for raw name use chatgpt, ending is rushed (the plot kinda escalated right into the endgame, still felt natural though) but it's still good imo. All in all, worth a shot, will take you 3-4 days to finish if you binge.
