Yeah, that stuff in Haiti was gross.
So, if an author writes a book from a time when using the word ‘Negro’ to refer to a Black American was commonplace, does that make the author racist? That’s just silly. The word ‘fagot’ in many people’s vocabulary didn’t originally come from being an insult toward homosexuals. It became common in online video games, where slurs were often used, but you knew nothing about the other player. Therefore, the term ‘fagot’ couldn’t have originally been about homosexuality; it was a term you used, for example, when someone killed you in the game. so, to suggest that the author’s use of the word ‘fagot’ makes him homophobic is absurd. If you believe that an author should pussyfoot around words because they might hurt someone’s feelings, that’s on you. I just think it’s a silly idea that people should censor themselves, and that bad guys can’t use bad words. Have a nice day.😊
I agree, I like my monster protagonist to be monstrous—pun intended.
Yeah, how dare he be rude to the dude that just killed him.
Hello.
I agree. It sucks when a story's whole selling point is the protagonist being a bad guy or part of a certain group, and then, for some reason, the author decides to flip it around and make them a less interesting, more generic character. Hopefully this story won’t do it.
You really like lists, don’t you?
I wonder how you differentiate between demon and devil. Is a demon just more bloodthirsty while a devil is more cunning. I find it interesting how people write the difference.
Even if you have a great adventure to tell, you may not be a good writer I think he would’ve made a great shadow writer if it wasn’t for the part about him not wanting to be in the shadow.
