But being awakened doesn't make you obsessed with power. You could awaken normal farmer and they will be happy to keep growing thing with 3 time the efficiency and living a confortable life. You say that madman could become powerfull but they already do (lich, undead, harbinger, cursed object, ect) having an army of 10 000 awakened (for patrol with mana/heath vision) with a 100 violet core (for special strike team) in the mix can make short work of it. And we shouldnt forget one of the greatest advantage of any country: systematised training and equipement (a soldier is stronger and better equiped than a civilan). Madman are already powerful and influant and noble are already corrupt. Sorry for bad english

While the Royals, Milea, and her troops stared in horror at the Emperor Beasts unleashing one Spirit Spell after another, ignoring the magical formations, the soldiers of the Kingdom looked at the Mad Queen in awe.

Yeah and she wouldn't even have a hard time bribing lith (not forcing him to do thing for small gain), vastor (letting do is thing), manhoar (awakening) and the only difficulty will come from the ernas (even though i am sur than the childrens wouldn't mind). Without them I don't see the kingdom resisting more than a mouth with is show inneficiency. (sorry for bad english)

The bored nobles' love for gossip played right into Thrud's hands.

The worst part is their incapacity to nurture loyalty, no strong mage are loyal to them (lith, manhoar, balkor, ect), they dont help one of the most loyal family in time of need (Ernas), they dont invest enough on education pushing young wizards to depend on political factions to get what they need, they hide every single knowledge behind eavy doors (where you need to chain yourself up to the kingdom to open), they hardly follow they promise (lith family protection because of the 2 cursed city, the plague, the horseman, the scanning spell, the dolorean, ect) and they punish more than they reward. The fact that the kingdom is still standing is a miracle. Thrud will have a easy time turning 60% of all noble + manhoar + lith + balkor on her side if she play her cards right.

He prevented a pandemic, destroy 2 cursed city (that the kingdom couldn't realistically destroy, invented a strategicall weapon of great importance (dolorean),gave a new regrowing limb technique, healed many noble, smoothed the kingdom relationship with beast, helped figth thrud, discovered many infiltrated undead and traitors, helped reduce the olds noble influence and prooved that being of un-noble origin mean nothing, fougth back horsemmans and many more in less than 8 years. What did any of the nobles did during this time? Yes you must earn your due, but if lith dont qualify then nobody does.

As i said: I want to see a bunch of scientist and engineer end up on mogar.

Alchemical tools couldn't hold spells above tier three but anyone could use them, even those with no magical talent and without enough mana to light a match. They were military-grade weapons that had been charged by at least bright cyan-cored mages.

What do you think would happen if the parents die hunting ? The beasts will say to the child: "I give you 1 day of food, learn how to hunt" knowing full well that the likelihood of them dying is high. It's not the same thing yes but protector being surprised about it is strange.

"What a horrible man." Protector skimmed through its pages, finding more and more of Gernoff's projects to improve the quality of life of the Kingdom.

Yes but he is a awakened beast, we were talking about magical beast in general. Of course protector is not the everage magical beast.

What? Beast thinks exactly the same way: you can't hunt? Though luck! I know that protector is different than most but he should know than each beast and his pack only things about themselves exept in case of common danger. Even in the beast society on the other continent everyone need to hunt for themselves and they created a wholle gate network for this exact purpose. The only beast that actually care about their non-magical brethren is the one who interact with others great species. All other simply live their life not learrning ligth magic to heal their brethren even though they have the capacity. They reproduce, hunt, protect the young and then nothing if their is a famine they try to hunt farther but if its not enough they will let the weakest member of the pack die. And lets not talk about non-pack beast that don't give a shit about anyone but themselves and maybe their children when they are young. (sorry for bad english)

I was gonna say the council and then i remembered that she already talked about them in her phrase.

"Yes. I made it from pieces that we Guardians shed and shared. After I was done testing mine, I crafted one for Leegaain and Tyris as well. Always remember that only an idiot never shares.

She trained hard for it but even then she is not even 100 year old and orion didn't even forge the blade for this purpose. I know that being an hyper specialist as its perk but pushing back an apex black core will being a blue core is ridiculous. (What will happen when she become violet core, wouldn't she be condidered automatically as an elder due to that?)

Phloria moved now so quickly that even Vareen's eyes saw only a blur. His Chaos spells were incapable of following her footwork and hit only air. On top of that, a bright blue sheath of energy covered both Phloria and Reaver, shielding them from the Eldritch's corrosive touch.

Renkar swept the Yggdrasill staff over War, collecting the traces of Chaos and amplifying them with Domination. The angry blade had already flooded the Eldritch's remains with Lith's energy signature thanks to its World Mirror skill, making the process easier.

True! But lets be real steam engine would have been a hit in th textiles industrie and would only have required coal and steel. Easy money if you sell the techniques to the royals or/and create your own textile industrie. Mine security (box of sand/water at semi regular interval against fire and pump for air/water using steam engine) would have also yeld a good price easily.

He knew the principles that allowed modern technology to work, but he had no idea how to build an AC/DC generator. Until he found a way to reproduce technology by combining physics and magic, there was nothing he could do.

Sure! We all know how awakened are smart, wise and efficient in their research of knowledge and partage of it! They will never try to hide/destroy precious knowledge for their own gain. And they are the type to think about the future by raising apprentice with their all.

The rest of the Council, however, grumbled under their breath with the only exception of Leegaain. He had no need for such things because he grew them inside his biomes, having discovered for ages how to cultivate natural treasures.
