One of the best "character development" and "world building" LONG stories I have read. It is "easy" to do a good "Character development" and "world building" in limited number of chapters (say, under 1000). However, this story is over 1500 chapters and still going strong. The author did a great job of going from 'small world' to 'big picture'. The development of the story is natural and does not rely on appearance of random large enemies out of nowhere. Just a natural development --> as MC advances, they just see more.
