Gavriel and Evie were really going at it in the castle gardens, come wind, rain, or hail. Neither realised they were acting out a private scene in an extremely open and public place. I think Zeke doesn't want to hurt her or sacrifice her to Dinah so he wanted Alicia to fight him. That way he can justify why he wasn't able to kidnap Alicia. Alicia needs to hurt Zeke so bad so she can escape.
