I'm enjoying the story so far, but just wanted to point out how aizen would have definitely noticed the wording on that, and how Gin would have wanted him to say yes. If gin just asked for the hogyoku, he would have assumed he was asking for permission to take it if he failed, but since gin asked for his abilities and skills as well, he would have definitely been very suspicious. but I'm enjoying the story so far, so I'm fine with letting it go. just wanted to note this.
On the other hand, no matter how strong or smart you are, even you cannot face the unknown. In this case, the essence. Hence, Aizen's verbal 'promise' is going to come back and bite his ass.
