I just realised (bullshit theory), when he assimile an object it gain an additive increase meaning the energy gain is also additive for the system converting the said object to energy like a nuclear plant). So the energy should be distributed between the two and the level gain of the skill should be the system saving a bit of the energy to improve its energy conversion machinery (yes, I'm deam witted).

I will give my prediction for the serie. From the quick growth the battles will be more and more one sided and the multiple pov used more often exept for critical battle like fights against Samuel. If it is the case I hope their will be more low paced chapters, the lack of action giving more space for character develepoment and thus increasing the affection factor of the reader, making them hope their favorite characters do not die against Ed.

I have some experience with bow and even my training bow (30lbs) with training arrow heads make 2 centimeters deep holes in wood at 25 meters so a war bow (roughly starting at 60lbs) with broad heads can probably pierce even the frontal bone and shatters the less thick rear part of the skull.
Although arrows were not good weapons against Skeletons, they were still fairly effective. As long as there was enough force behind the arrow it would at least leave a nick on the bones. - Seldanor3yrCommented
