Making the laughter in lower case would've been better here. The caps lock just makes him seem loud for no reason; it's not a self-deprecating laugh.

Well-written heroes are few, but when they are, they're peak.Case in point, Shirou Emiya. I really love it when authors explore the inner psyche of a "heroic" main character to reveal just how broken they are as a person to care more about others than they do themselves.
