So I just binged this novel from start to near finish (on C680) over the course of a 3 day period, with the story still fresh in my mind I'll share my thoughts on it. First of all I'd like to preface that this novel definitely might not be everyone's cup of tea. I say this because the first 30 or so chapters set up the groundwork, while the MC's cultivation journey only truly begins at around chapter 55, which cause a lot of people to drop it especially since the average webnovel reader has the attention span of a goldfish. The point I'm trying to make is that the setup is worth it and necessary. A criticism I have of the initial stages of the novel would be that the cultivation system is introduced in a way that is quite confusing. There's a lot to take in initially due to the massive amount of detail that goes into the cultivation system. Now onto the relationships in this novel. As a reader, this novel gives me a sense of frustration yet understanding, satisfaction yet annoyance. It gives me blue balls but also post nut clarity(?). Idk. It's complicated to say the least. Not everything is smooth sailing, the romantic interests don't instantly fall in love, it's a gradual progression, they don't all immediately forgive the MC of his major mistakes too, *cough* a certain pink haired lady *cough*. Sometimes it's frustrating and annoying, but there's also a sense of realism and understanding. Small note: there are some scares the author presents to the readers but having read 3 of his novels I have enough faith he won't NTR . Now the MC himself. He's an interesting character to say the least, he's arrogant and hot-blooded but also smart and logical. He undergoes good character development and tries to change his flaws. TLDR: Good novel, hard to get into at the start for some, but the long term payoff is huge although the cultivation system can be confusing at first. Relationships are a breath of fresh air, not your classic instant fall in love or hero says the damsel in distress. I typically don't like harem but the author does an insanely good job with it. MC cool and badass. Not much more to say, Overall 5/5
