Yeah, I feel like Markus is depending too much on Magical gear, especially gear that he didn't create. Which isn't inherently wrong in itself, but it is problematic if Markus is still supposed to be learning and growing.
I agree. The secret on how to never make a mistake is to never try.
I would've just done a buyout and call that the "favor" and in exchange Karmin can promise to stay "friends". I just don't like the idea of signing a long-term contract without a lawyer, but maybe the MC thinks the idea of introducing steel into the world and revolutionizing the Smithing Industry is "fun".
Yeah, I thought the MC would get stronger, but he's constantly having to ingrate himself with people more powerful and richer than him. And in exchange for some measly favors, he's handing out multimillion dollar ideas like candy. On one hand that's just being sensible. On the other hand, I hope the MC isn't satisfied with people constantly expecting more from him.
Jo never did anything wrong. He lives in a world "Might equals Right" so of course he's not going to be shy. People should practice being low-key in the real world because in real life even the strongest people can't fight entire armies by themselves.
I kind of understand. For Markus to get better he has to work day and night just to get by which isn't heathy. So instead, the MC compensates by giving Markus a magical gun or something. Which like you said is good, but relying on crutches misses the point of cultivating.
As long as the MC isn't hurting himself, others, or his goals how is being selfish a bad thing? I think the only thing that might be considered problematic is the need to use that mask in order to survive in the world. That means even if he does succeed someday, the success was built on a lie.
That happens in real life every day. There's always somebody bigger and stronger than even the biggest and strongest person you know. The MC is just going to have to learn to deal with it as he grows older.
I think it's funny. I hope Guy eventually does win and solves a problem by being smart, knowledgeable, and patient and not just by brute force. Like a natural disaster, or beast raid or something. Not this Law of the Jungle stuff. There's no satisfaction from beating up people weaker than you.
Yeah, I don't like Al. It's okay to be friendly but he's being very invasive. But on the other hand, it's not much of a secret, but the way of thinking is revolutionary. Somebody patient, smart, and obsessive enough would have eventually figured it out by just watching Guy long enough.
