I was going to put that in but it seemed to obvious. also, nothing racist about naming off a culture’s language, so you’re good. Besides , as far as I’m concerned, as far as one don’t actually mean it, and has no hatred in their heart, then a joke is just a joke, even if it’s ethnically oriented. After all, a ‘Yo Mama’ joke, or a ‘Dumb Blonde’ joke, while super funny, isn’t really meant to be taken seriously , right? The joke teller doesn’t ever really believe ‘Yo Mama’ to be THAT fat, or that ALL or even most blondes are dumb. If one topic is okay to be joked about, then every topic should be, so long as there’s at least some truth to it that everyone can agree to (otherwise it wouldn’t make sense), and that it’s just a joke. So I think something as simple as giving the characters that you’re reading about in a novel an appropriate accent is not only not racist, but even respectful towards that ethnicity because it makes a thousand times more sense for a primarily Spanish speaking individual to be speaking with a Spanish accent rather than speaking English without an accent. The latter would seem fake all for the sake of the reader staying within their comfort zone. Well, that’s how I see it. Sorry for the long reply, I guess this one got away from me . lol.

I really hate it how this app uses any old random picture that may seem even ‘somewhat’ close to appropriate (like using a pic of a spear-wielder for a novel about swordsmanship), including pilfered content from manga, manhwa, manhua, other novels and more as the cover picture for new and upcoming author’s books. Exactly how is that NOT plagiarism?
