They’re just a bit excited. Let’s not take the wind out of their sails.
Ah yes, the Crimson Gospel.
Rereading this for, what… the 5th or 6th time now? Despite being on hiatus and having read many more novels since my first read, this is still one of my favorite novels. Here goes to another read through.
I will take the brain of man, the lungs of bird, the arms and body of gorilla, the legs and heart of elephant, along with several other parts to create the most powerful life form known to Earth. There will absolutely be no compatibility issues.
Happy birthday my dude, hope you have a good one.
While their class name doesn’t seem very conducive in covert operations, you must remember cannon masters specialize in long range combat.
I wonder how they define days in space
There is no new one. These are just they terms used later in the novel. Probably switched to a better translator when they noticed how popular this novel got.
It’s been a long time since my last reread. Seeing familiar names like these makes me so happy.
Haven’t found many good novels as of late and now I find myself here once again.
Sounds like it
Basically, the original Ash wants to live, so he’d use the key. This is the ”id”, the primitive part of our psyche which follows our instincts and desires. The player who sees this as just a scenario in a game will want to clear it, which means not dying. So they’ll use the key. This is the ”ego”, the rational part of our psyche that evaluates reality and finds a balance between the id and super-ego. Only the player who understands that they are playing the role of Ash can make decisions Ash wouldn’t normally make. That is, dropping the key down the pipe, the morally correct decision. This is the super-ego, the moral conscience of the psyche. These three concepts make up Freud’s structural model of the psyche.
“If I had prep time, there really is no fight I could lose.” - Batman Not a real quote but I suppose our MC could actually live up to this statement
He’s a member of Cattleya’s crew. He likes crossbreeding different plants and animals… as well as fungi.
Peak fiction back again for round two
He didn’t even have metaphysics in his status at the beginning so it makes sense that even reaching incompetent means something.
Durarara
A strong foundation is important but he needs money. Let me reiterate some of what’s been said these past few chapters. He needs to make sure to keep up with the times and needs an estimated 2 billion to keep his equipment up-to-date. He also needs a mech he can sell. As we’ve seen from the pilots that turned down his offers, price isn’t really an issue as long as the mech is worth it. So a good design will net him larger profits. And to help garner interest in his designs, he needs something that stands out, something that looks good on paper. X-Factor is something that sets him apart from others, but it doesn’t show up on the mech’s spec sheet. He’s chosen to focus on mediumweight armor that strikes a balance between speed and defense.
These lore excerpts are always so good.
Not a very good chapter title I’d say
