Yeah, it was never stated or shown that only vampires could learn it, only that they were the only ones that had, so far.

Man, loving Quinn's character development into a more confident and wise leader as those were things he was kinda shaky on before this arc, particularly the latter part.

Hopefully, Leo can now be in charge of teaching Qi to everyone in the Cursed Family that wants/ needs it while Quinn teaches the shadow skill.
Waiting to walk into the teleporter, it seemed there were more people returning to earth than those that had arrived. Leo and Erin had decided to come along this time. Quinn felt better about this, as he had felt awkward leaving Leo behind when he had so much he wanted to do, and even had his own goal. Now seeing the two of them there right next to Quinn, they could coordinate everything together. With three, Logan thought this was nearly impossible, but with Paul and Leo they might be able to pull it off. - ErwinCloude2yrCommented
How often have these communication methods actually worked for a tangible benefit though? As far as I remember, there's almost always something that interferes with it whenever it would actually make a difference. Kinda frustrating tbh.
Maybe they had predicted that someone from the outside, or the human world would try to contact them, and had set up a device to block all incoming communications. Still, he knew his masks worked after testing them with Peter's mask. Which meant only messages sent within the tenth castle were being intercepted. - ErwinCloude2yrCommented

As far as I remember, it was Quinn's system that prevented Vorden from copying his abilities way back when, not that he was a vampire specifically. Unless, this was added on later and I forgot lol.
Logan would have usually felt safe next to Sil, but not in the vampire world, where his copying ability was useless. - ErwinCloude2yrCommented

How can a vampire leader not know that Wights have the same strength and speed as the person that turned which, in this case, is a Quinn, a leader?
'How is he as fast as a leader? I thought he had just caught me off guard.' But there was one thing that vampires had that Wights didn't, and that was blood skills. Correct if I'm wrong but wasn't Alex among the ones that were taught the shadow ability by Quinn? If that's the case, then Sil could touch Alex and Logan which would get him double MC points and the shadow. Granted, he wouldn't be as skilled with it as usual since he couldn't train with it back in the island, but it'd still be better than nothing.
