hmm maybe I did not deliver the explanation properly. What she made was a small pocket dimension. then she used her short rage recon spell to "see" what was going on in the original world. achieving phasing through object as she wanted. To me it would be more difficult magic to achieve self intangibility, as it has got to do with interaction between atoms, Nagini nor I fully understand such a concept for me to write about it.
she has 70 years more on practicing magic than him, this breakthrough is mainly because of that, where as he has been practicing for what, 2 years? her next breakthrough won't happen for a very very long time.
don't forget Nagini has a friendship with Dumbledore who is known to be a master menipulator. plus they live in the world where your own thoughts are not safe from others. the distrust and building trust and losing trust and rebuilding it will be part of their relationship and character progression.
right, and they were all looked down on and was send to a prison that sucked happiness out of them. even Grindelwald was sent to a prison. if Voldemort had survived the battle, they would have given him a dementors kiss, but they wouldn't have killed him. killing so casually only exist in the cultivation world.
it's not a justification, it's MC's current character and is part of his character development. He does not come from a military background, he was a boxer in his previous life. no matter how badly some one wants to kill, if you haven't done it before anyone would hesitate. also the setting is the wizarding world, not a cultivation world. in this world, murder, torture is condemned and looked down upon as much as in the real world.
hmm the Naruto example is great, perhaps ill use it in the future. It just that i never considered the mythical creatures as a separate entity when i wrote about them, they were the combination of some merged souls from the experiment that lost lost all their cognitive abilities and is completely under the control of the MC, so if the MC is "affected" by external factors then they would be too. but i really like your Naruto example. perhaps it would be good to have them as separate entities. Ill think about it and perhaps introduce them as entities that observed the MC before interacting with him.
you are right, in the original canon, they are trash. not only that. we know the magical Britain has 10k plus population but we barely know 20 aurors, this includes Harry, Ron and Neville. which doesn't make sense. that's why I amped up the numbers.
hmm, I'm not sure if I understood everything that has got to do with the mindarts, but from what I do understand, no matter how strong the defences are, it have a lot to do with the person's state of mind and how well they are able to focus/concentrate. he was subjected to relaxing and deep sleep spell and a sleeping potion, having lost his focus, and memories partially, any person would have been in a state of confusion, which allowed the fog to access him memories.
hmm I don't know how much your read, but even if you read just 1 chapter, you should be able to guess the direction of his goals and ambition in the future. no MC would tell it's readers what his goals and ambitions are, especially the first few chapter, they are for readers interpretation immagination. and if you keep reading there is a chapter that literally titled as goals and moving forward
dwarf, elemental menipulation elf, insight phoenix, life and death :)
