it's not a justification, it's MC's current character and is part of his character development. hmm I don't know how much your read, but even if you read just 1 chapter, you should be able to guess the direction of his goals and ambition in the future. no MC would tell it's readers what his goals and ambitions are, especially the first few chapter, they are for readers interpretation immagination. and if you keep reading there is a chapter that literally titled as goals and moving forward
