It can be a fine read if you don't mind all characters being braindead and deaf, an example MC being in a small apartment along with 5 others, shoots bbeg and noone notices he did it, 2 being right beside him as they can talk to each other with no problems during a big fight and 2 my guess is being behind probably watching as what else are they doing. Right after he can even convince them that one of the other 2 in the apartment did it.

not just this father, also all other characters we have seen so far, no idea how they could rebuild society from ground up on 50 years if people are braindead

author contradicts himself multiple times, characters give out a feeling of being small children who mostly can't think for themselves except for the few important ones and they barely qualify as intelligent beings. It also feels too slow to read it just for the action so if you so decide to read it yourself expect a long slow winding read with little hope of any excitement

Not really to my liking, the characters All stick to their one thing and for me it just feels like it's mostly forced, as if the author was afraid to make them act different than first portrayed. Haven't really seen anything as of yet which have been slightly dangerous for MC and his "group" as he apparently has superhuman strength from even before apocalypse started.
