The idea of her being a beauty with tanned skin is one I'm definitely all for. Although I think the thing with pale skin has something to do with the pale skin being seen as belonging to someone who has never been subjected to the harsh sun, having also done well to care for their pale complexion. Or seen as someone so well cared for that it is impossible for them to be blemished by anything. Like they have been blessed or something likebthat. Back in the day, pale skin was thought to belong to those of nobles and ethereal beings. Pale skin isn't fun tho, take it from an albino who had a hate-hate relationship with the sun XD
