A dog I know loves me so much that whenever I come to the house and I'm not petting her, she stares at me with the occasional whimper until I pet her. The longest I've let it go on for was 10 minutes(I pet her to make her stop.) Problem is, if I don't let her for at least 30 minutes, she'll instantly resume the state as soon as I stop petting and look away from her.
