This was so bad that it crossed over to being hilarious. It was like the author was writing and then thought of a cool idea then added it right there in then. Consistency is a really bad problem in this book. If the premise was given to a better writer then I think this book would have been above a 3 star. Not a 4 star because at the end of the day this is a power fantasy where the MC get super strong way too fast.
Meh, it's alright. I only have a few problems with the story. Though these problems make me hesitant to unlock new chapters. One the chapters are super short. Pair that with some conversation fluff that the author could leave out, then you have entire chapters where nothing happens. I'd be pretty upset if I unlocked a chapter where there is 80% fluff. Next, the characters are fine. But the romance moved so fast that it was a bit comical. It was soooo forced and unnatural. This could have been fixed by extending the time they spent together. The story itself is fine. Though it goes from zero to 100 then back to zero again pretty often. I'm not talking about impromptu action scenes but what's at stake during those fights. The pacing is like a Rollercoaster with more lulls than peeks and I found myself becoming frustrated while reading. It's like edging. All in all, I won't continue the book. It was better than most of the trial reads though. So there's that.
The premise is cool but the MC kills this story. In chapter one the MCs best friend says he acts like 15 year old. In a playful manner. False. Take that as a fact! The MC acts like a 13-15 year old ****. Someone who lacks the life experience of a 30. Which the MC claims to be. What makes it worse is that the MC knows about stores and games that have a fantasy setting but freaks out about everything. This is a wasted book with a very annoying MC.
I saw some books call them Orks.
