I agree with Bat. As a small fanfic writer who is trying to write fiction books, I find these organic natural progressions to be necessary. Rushing ahead with Aura and OPness might satisfy the immediate crowd of instant gratification readers, but in the mid to long run you will find readers who can appreciate the journey more. Keep going strong as you are, you are a fantastic writer.

The feeling I get reading these chapters of everything heating up on the grand stage just reminds me of real life.

This almost feels like a return to the start of the story. Has a bit of a Coiling Dragon vibe, but we've gone full circle back to zombies. I wonder if Lex will issue a quest for River to climb atop a car roof and punch zombies.
