Yeah I'm 3000 chapters into the story and based on what I have seen, things do not get any better in the slightest, in fact they get worse. It ends up becoming a waifu simulator due to how many woman that the mc collects in the story. Basically if a new female character appears they either are "collected" by the mc or they die or disappear before the mc can "collect" them. Their are almost literally no new major male characters beside the mc after a certain point because the author always kills them off or they just vanish from the story.
