WOoooooT! A true epic...words dont do justice, unless they cycled back from the epic itself and all the people who enjoyed it. Ignore that, stories with magic should NATURALLY have things we dont-like a harem AND that doesn't mean its less or a weak love interest, but more.

Bah, Harry Potter magic was always just for kids; fake magic. The books are like the watered down weak/broke a$$ version of any real high fantasy book out there made for Hollywood and to suck in those easily lead by a fad and popular fad writing. It translated well into a Hollywood film of course...but that kind of book I could only read with a intact stomache when I just started reading...maybe late elementary to early junior high. Like how Hollywood dumbs down all their media to grade 8 level at most.

I'm finding these guys unusually cruel sounding to a 6 year old or younger before...this is not a typical childhood nor anything...well, he's like a death-rape magnet. That should be his real super power... It makes his own cruelty and more justified and the 'dark hero' the world needs even if all the world doesn't actually want it....

A different style...its more subtle than the more flamboyant ones, going for a better story in the long run but give it time and it will shine brighter for it. There are many younger readers who read for a cheap thrill and a momentary 'high' or thrill from a short read...or a constant adrenal hop scotch etc like a drug.
